Once and for all: FORGIVEN - Reason for Easter

Once and for all: FORGIVEN
(2603151934-1947280315-0741)

Easter
is not about Easter eggs
and Easter bunnies.

Easter is about
the biggest gift
that God could ever give
to humanity.

Easter is about
forgiveness!

When Jesus died at the cross,
he died there in place of me.

I would have deserved this death
and the eternal separation
from my Creator who loves me.

My trespasses
brought him to the cross
My trespasses sentenced
an innocent man to death.

He became the sacrificial lamb
for me and my trespasses.

God loved me so much
that he himself made a way
of reconciliation.

But Jesus did not remain
dead in the grave.
He arose and by that
deprived death of it’s power
once and for all.

God still offers us today
his reconciliation.
He wants us to live,
to enjoy our life now
and to be reconciled with him
in all eternity.

In this world
we are exposed to the
stealing, killing, and destroying
of the adversary.
But Jesus conquered him
through his death and resurrection.

Already now
we have a new perspective
and in all eternity
we have a new home.

Once and for all
Jesus has forgiven us.

That is the best and biggest present
that was ever given
to humanity!

Theme:   Reason for Easter

He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross.
And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.
Colossians 2,13b-15
(NIV Translation)
