Why and
when
are these
not the questions
we most
frequently ask God?
God why did you allow this?
God when will
that happen?
Aren’t we frustrated and angry
when we do
not get
an immediate
answer to them?
Even when unjust things happen
God has a
way.
Even when
things take a long time
God has a
plan.
In God’s
timing
there is no
too early or too late.
It’s not about God focusing on us
but us
focusing on God.
We do not experience
his strength
and power
when he
does what we want
but when we
do what he wants.
Can we believe in his leadership
even in
difficult times?
Do we still
know that he is good
when he
allows bad things to happen?
Much of what God prepares us for
has to be
learned
through
hard experiences
because we
would never learn it otherwise.
Without having gone
through
hard times ourselves
we cannot
really understand
others who
have a hard time.
Without deprivation
and long
times of waiting
we don’t
learn patience.
When we
stay impatient,
we then give
ourselves
and others
a hard time.
Why and when
are two
unnecessary questions
when it
comes to
understanding
God better
because
they show
that we
mistrust God’s
all-knowingness
and his goodness.
God does not need our understanding
for what he
does and allows
but our
complete trust.
He has the whole plan.
He knows
the entire timeline.
He teaches
and guides
every
single one of us
in an
individual way.
He knows what he is doing.
Isn’t it
time
we leave
the why and when
in his
hands?
Then life
is much easier.
